The Hithub CassetteRevive Dolby C Noise Reduction Premium Cassette is duplicated with Dolby C complementary noise reduction encoding applied during the high-speed duplication process, providing 20 dB of noise reduction at high frequencies compared to the 10 dB noise reduction of Dolby B encoding, resulting in a perceived signal-to-noise ratio of 72 dB on a quality Type chromium dioxide cassette — approaching the 74 dB dynamic range of standard CD on a medium that cost one-sixth as much per unit to manufacture and distribute in the cassette era and remains collectible and playable on any Dolby C-equipped cassette deck in the current market. Dolby C encoding applies a two-stage compander system that processes the audio signal in two complementary frequency and level bands: a high-frequency shelving band above 1,000 Hz at a compression ratio of 2:1, and a mid-frequency band centered at 400 Hz at a compression ratio of 1.5:1, the combination of which pre-emphasizes both frequency regions during recording to raise them above the tape noise floor, and complementarily expands them during playback to simultaneously restore flat frequency response and suppress the tape noise pushed below the expanded signal floor. The cassette uses a Type CrO₂ formulation from a Belgian oxide supplier producing a coercivity specification of 540 oersteds, certified against IEC 60094-1 standard by a third-party laboratory. Packaged in a transparent shell with a 4-color printed J-card on 250 gsm uncoated board.
