The Hithub VinylMaster 45 RPM 7-Inch Single Box Set collects twelve individually pressed 7-inch singles in the classic 45 RPM format, each single pressed on 45-gram heavyweight vinyl that is 50 percent heavier than the standard 33-gram 7-inch single, with the additional mass providing greater rotational stability at the higher 45 RPM playback speed and reducing the resonance coupling between the stylus cartridge and the record surface that contributes to coloration and distortion at sustained note frequencies. The 7-inch format at 45 RPM accommodates approximately five minutes per side at an outer groove radius of 70 millimeters, providing a groove velocity of 0.57 meters per second at the outermost track — 73 percent faster than the 33⅓ RPM 12-inch equivalent groove velocity — which directly translates to higher wavelength per cycle at any given frequency and therefore greater groove modulation amplitude for improved stylus tracking and reduced crosstalk between channels.
