Hithub BluDisc — SACD Super Audio Hybrid Disc

The Hithub BluDisc SACD Super Audio Hybrid Disc employs the Super Audio CD dual-layer format to deliver both a standard CD layer readable on all conventional CD players and an SACD high-density layer carrying a Direct Stream Digital two-channel stereo layer plus a six-channel DSD multichannel layer, each recorded at 2.8224 MHz DSD sample rate — sixty-four times the 44.1 kHz CD standard — in a one-bit sigma-delta encoding format that captures the continuous analog waveform with a noise floor that descends to negative 120 dB SPL across the full 20 Hz to 100 kHz frequency range covered by the DSD format specification. The SACD layer’s 4.7-gigabyte capacity stores the DSD stereo and multichannel layers simultaneously, with a disc-side capacity allocation of 3.2 gigabytes for the DSD layers and 650 megabytes for the conventional CD layer, separated by a layer-switching zone readable by SACD-capable transports at 1.8 meters per second linear velocity with a focus servo tracking the 0.74-micron DSD pit width using a 650-nanometer red laser in CD-compatibility mode and a 780-nanometer infrared laser in SACD-native mode. The hybrid disc is manufactured in a dedicated SACD-licensed pressing facility using the proprietary pit-signal-processing electroforming technique for the DSD layer stamper, required to achieve the 0.74-micron pit geometry tolerance mandated by the Sony and Philips SACD format specification. Packaged in a standard jewel case with a 28-page booklet.
