The Hithub VinylMaster Colored Vinyl Limited Run 180-gram LP is pressed in a translucent deep blue vinyl compound produced by mixing a pre-dispersed pigment concentrate of ultramarine blue at a loading of 1.2 parts per hundred of vinyl compound into a base PVC formulation of 99.9 percent purity, the pigment loading level determined through listening tests on test pressings at concentrations between 0.8 and 2.0 parts per hundred to identify the threshold above which pigment particle aggregation begins to measurably increase the surface noise floor relative to standard black vinyl. The colorant used is a heat-stable organic pigment rated for the 185-degree-Celsius pressing cycle temperature, with a particle size distribution D90 below 5 micrometers to ensure uniform dispersion within the vinyl matrix and prevent the agglomeration that creates surface defects visible as color streaks or playback clicks. Noise floor measurements confirm that the 1.2 parts-per-hundred formulation produces an A-weighted surface noise of minus 72 dB relative to 5 centimeters per second groove velocity, within 1 dB of the minus 73 dB achieved on equivalent standard black pressings. The limited run is capped at 800 copies, each individually numbered by the pressing plant quality control team using a stamp applied to the dead wax area. The gatefold sleeve features photography of the blue vinyl pellets prior to pressing, printed in six-color offset on 350 gsm board.
